Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise Daily Production Activities and Oversee operations across sponge iron kilns (e.g., DRI kilns), ensuring production targets are consistently met.
• Coordinate production shifts, manpower allocation, and workflow to maintain smooth operations.
• Monitor raw material inputs (iron ore, coal, dolomite, etc.) and finished product quality, ensuring alignment with company and BIS standards (drawing from typical sponge iron practices).
• Liaise with quality control labs to streamline sampling, testing, and documentation processes (ensuring compliance with documentation protocols seen in quality-focused roles).
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime (kilns, crushers, etc.), and ensure operational readiness of critical infrastructure.
• Enforce a culture of safety and ensure strict adherence to SOPs and environmental guidelines, including dust or emission controls in raw material areas.
• Compile daily or shift-wise production and quality reports.
• Report deviations, recommend corrective actions, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Mentor and train shift operators and support staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—quality, maintenance, planning, logistics—to resolve operational issues effectively.
• Identify process bottlenecks, propose methods to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

Qualifications & Skills :

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in sponge iron, DRI, or steel manufacturing, with demonstrated supervisory exposure.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Technical proficiency in kiln operations and sponge iron processes.

Pay: ₹22,064.50 - ₹45,263.18 per month
